Important Question

teamcreepers:

How are we dividing up the task list? I figured it would be easiest to give each person a certain number (like order person gets tasks numbered 1-10, second person gets 11-20 and so on, or however it divides out) and each person does as many as they can from their numbers.
BUT shouldn’t we also have some sort of trading forum? I mean, if I get a task that has something to do with a cat, I might eventually be able to do it, but I’d have to find a cat first. Tash has a cat and could finish the thing much easier.
I dunno, I just thought these were things we should figure out before so we’re not scrambling and wasting time during the actual hunt.

The tasks really vary so I don’t think splitting them up by numbers will be the best.

Tasks that are in different countries or states need to go to the people closet to them.

And I’m also working alone so I have to take the ones that can be done with a tripod and a camera.

Maybe we can all get on tinychat at the same time and split up the list as soon as its released. Get that out of the way as quickly as possible.

Also agree that assigning numbers might be difficult since different people have access to different connections and such. I know we have one member that did it last year so maybe she can offer some insight to how the team she was on did it? But I was also wondering the best way to keep track because I know you have to be careful what you post once it has started so you don’t get disqualified right? Maybe we could have some forwarding email to keep track of the list so only we can see it? I don’t know, something like that!

Last year my group split tasks on a claiming system - people basically called dibs on items they thought the could complete. We should definitely keep track, though, and make sure everyone gets a chance to complete something so they count as a member of the team if we win :-D

To keep track, my previous team decided to use facebook because most of us were comfortable there (I dislike facebook, but took one for the team :-P); it was a private group so we could share our items with each other easily and keep track of conversations. LJ or dreamwidth are also good for that sort of thing, if we decide to go that route for Team Creeper.

One thing I particularly liked from last year was that we had a single account (on imgur, I think?) where we hosted all the photographs our team submitted. It might also be a good idea to do that with a video hosting site.

If you guys want to make a Facebook account to keep track of our projects then I can go make a group?

Unless you guys want livejournal or something else, I’m not as good with groups and privacy settings over there though.

Just went to the gas station to get a milkshake. Y’all act like you’ve never seen a grown ass woman wearing a sock monkey hat before.
